1. Remove the filter element
Loosen or unlock the access cover. Since the filter element is tightly fitted on the outlet pipe to produce a sealing effect, there will be some initial resistance, similar to the seal on a separate tank. Gently move the end cap part of the filter element back and forth to separate the seal, and then rotate it while pulling the wallpaper outward. Do not knock the filter housing. If your air filter element has a safety element, replace it when you replace the main element for the third time. Replace the safety filter element like the main filter element. Be sure to cover the outlet pipe of the air filter element to prevent any unfiltered pollutants from entering the engine.
2. Clean the inner and outer surfaces of the outlet pipe and check the rubber dust valve at the same time.
Wipe the sealing surface of the filter element and the inside of the outlet pipe with a clean cloth. Contaminants on the sealing surface may hinder effective sealing and cause leakage. Make sure that all contaminants have been removed before inserting a new filter element. Any dust and foreign matter accidentally adjusted into the outlet pipe will be sucked into the engine and cause wear. The engine manufacturer believes that even a few grams of contaminants may destroy an engine. Be careful not to damage the sealing area on the tank. If your air filter is equipped with a dust valve. Check visually and squeeze by hand to ensure that the dust exhaust valve is greedy and not damaged or blocked.
3. Check the old filter element for signs of leakage
Visually inspect the old filter element for any signs of leakage. Measured inside the filter element, if streaks of dust are formed. Then there is a leakage phenomenon. Eliminate any cause of leakage before installing a new filter element.
4. Check whether the new filter element is damaged.
Check the new filter element carefully, pay attention to the internal measurement of the open end, it is the sealed area. It is not a damaged filter element. The new sealed filter element may have some lubricant on the sealing surface to help install it.
5. Correctly insert the new radial seal filter element
After installing the safety inner core in place, carefully insert the filter element. Before tightening the cover, make sure that the filter element is completely inserted into the air filter element. The main sealing ring area has the ability to evenly adjust and distribute the sealing pressure. In order to achieve a tight seal, apply pressure on the outer edge of the filter element instead of the soft center part by hand (do not push the center of the polyurethane section). If the end cap hits the filter element when the end cap is installed, it means that the filter element is not in place. Push in the air filter further and try again. The end cap should be closed without additional force.
