Large grease traps usually use an oil scraper to scrape the floating oil to the collecting pipe. The form of the oil scraper is the same as that of the air flotation tank slag scraper, and sometimes it is carried out at the same time as the mud scraper to become an oil scraper. The advection type grease trap oil scraper is installed in the separation section, and the oil scraper scrapes the slick oil and the sediment to the water outlet and the water inlet respectively, so the whole tank needs to be installed. The sloping plate grease trap is only equipped with an oil scraper in the separation section, and the sludge discharge generally adopts bucket gravity sludge discharge.

Small grease traps mostly use mud buckets to discharge sludge. Each hopper should be equipped with a separate sludge valve and pipe, and the sludge angle of the hopper is 45. The diameter of the mud pipe cannot be less than DN200mm. When the outlet of the sludge pipe does not fall naturally to discharge the sludge, but uses hydrostatic pressure to discharge the sludge, the hydrostatic head should be greater than 1.5m, otherwise the sludge discharge will not be smooth.
